Fairy dust

Good morning

Monday again and I am rushing into work to see our lovely little chicks. Several members of staff have taken them home for the weekend so hopefully they have had a great time and will all be back in one piece. I would love to take them home but my two cats would probably view them as a tasty snack!
Onto today's card -
One of my Facebook friends was having a clear out of her crafty stash so being one who likes nothing more than poking around in someone elses crafty stash I had a look. And this is what I found. Unfortunately I don't have any packaging so can't tell you the stamp's name or the company who made it but I loved it. I have coloured it with the following Spectrum Noir pens, Sparkle pens, Illustrators and Copics pens -
  • skin - E000, FS4, FS9, TN2 and CR2
  • hair - GY1, GY3, GY5, GB10 and EB5
  • dress - pink garnet and crystal clear Sparkle pens
  • wings - cosmos and crystal clear Sparkle pens
  • sky - sky blue
  • eyes - white gel pen

Not sure about the face, think it needs more work.
I have also used -
  • Rainbow magic paper pad from Hobbycraft
  • silver mirri
  • Tattered Lace torn hexagons
  • ribbon from Create and Craft
  • gem from Amazon
  • LOTV fairy sentiments
  • tumbled glass distress ink

That's all from me today folks, have a good week.

Urban blues

Good afternoon

I do hope this Saturday afternoon finds you all well and enjoying some down time. I have had a great week this week; first it was a 4 day week and secondly our eggs have hatched (at school). We had 18 eggs in total and now are the proud parents of 15 little chicks. The children have been so excited and have rushed into school every morning to see them. They are going on tour (around the rest of the school) this week before they head back to the farm a week on Monday where we got them. We would love to have them as school pets but unfortunately our school field and small wood is home to a fox family and we are not providing them with ready meals.
Now onto crafting. I made this card for my brother-in-law -
Some eagle eyed people will notice the resemblance to Wednesday's card; I did a background making afternoon!
For this card I have used -
  • watercolour card
  • black and petrol blue core'dinations
  • Spectrum Aqua markers - navy, marine, peacock blue and kingfisher
  • Sheena's A little bit sketchy stamp sets - under the bridge and concrete jungle
  • faded jeans distress ink
  • Sue Wilson's double stitched rectangles die set

The background was made by scribbling onto a glass mat, spritzing with water and then mopping up the ink with a piece of watercolour card.
That's all from me today, have a lovely weekend.

Looking up

Good morning

I am so glad I made it back into my garden on Monday, the weather here has broken and the garden is a complete washout. Ah well it looked good for a little while.
Today's card is another of my recent makes, this time for my father-in-law -
I have used -

  • Sheena's A little bit sketchy - looking up stamp set
  • Sheena's stamping card
  • black and petrol blue core'dinations
  • Spectrum Aqua markers - navy, marine, peacock blue and kingfisher
  • faded jeans distress ink
  • Spellbinder's sentiments 3
I made the background by scribbling onto a glass mat with the aqua markers, spritzing it with water and then mopping up the ink with a piece of Sheena card.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge -

Two fer......

Good afternoon

What a glorious day it is here, surprising really for a Bank Holiday but I am making the most of it. I have just come in from the garden, dare I say it is a bit too hot for me out there at the moment, so I thought I'd put together a quick blog post.
These are two thank you cards I made recently -

I wanted to try out my new metallic pens and I needed some thank you cards so I combined the two.
For these cards I have used -
  • Colorista dark colouring pad - Exquiste Florals
  • Spectrum Noir metallic pens (rare minerals and precious metals sets)
  • rainbow mirri (from Hunkydory)
  • love is in the air sentiments (from Tattered Lace)
  • matt black card (from Crafter's Companion)
  • double stitched rectangle die set (from Sue Wilson)

That's all from me today. I am just going to finish a card order now and then head out into the garden later today when the sun is a little less strong.

Enjoy your day (and the sunshine if you have some)
